The Latino Business Action Network (LBAN) Alumni Network is Further Strengthened by Wells Fargo’s Commitment to Empower Latino Business Owners

SAN JOSE, CA - March 28th, 2024: The Latino Business Action Network (LBAN) is pleased to announce that Wells Fargo, their longest corporate partner, will continue its sponsorship and support for LBAN's upcoming events and initiatives. Wells Fargo remains committed to investing in the ongoing growth of Latino and Latina business owners.

LBAN, an independent nonprofit based in Silicon Valley, partners with Stanford University to empower Latino entrepreneurship across the country. Wells Fargo’s continued sponsorship will support the three core pillars of LBAN:

  • Foundational research on U.S. Latino entrepreneurs across the country in partnership with Stanford.

  • Transformational Business Scaling Programs at Stanford

  • Empowering ecosystem development activities, including a 4-part virtual webinar series.

Wells Fargo will extend its support to LBAN's annual Alumni Summit, held today, March 28th, affirming its steadfast commitment to Latino businesses. LBAN alumni represent the largest, most sophisticated, and actively connected national network of Latino business owners across all industries and sectors of the economy. LBAN companies are among the most sophisticated and innovative. LBAN alumni companies are already larger than the average Latino-owned company and are rapidly scaling. This event, tailored for entrepreneurs who have successfully completed LBAN’s Business Programs at Stanford, is designed to deliver educational content with lectures from Stanford Professors, engaging roundtable discussions, network, and activate the LBAN mantra: “Do business with each other, get business for each other.”

LBAN is building an empowering ecosystem that will create the infrastructure to unlock the potential of Latino entrepreneurship nationally. LBAN alumni represent a robust network of over 1,100 alumni, collectively contributing over $7.6 billion in combined Annual Gross Revenue to the U.S. economy, employing over 55,200 individuals.

“At Wells Fargo, we are committed to advancing Latino entrepreneurship and supporting the Latino ecosystem. Our partnership with LBAN reflects this dedication as we invest in the growth and success of Latino business owners. We recognize the importance of ongoing education and support and the role that Wells Fargo plays in the LBAN ecosystem. Together, we're creating opportunities and driving positive change for Latino entrepreneurs nationwide.” Patty Juarez, Executive Vice President and Head of Hispanic & Latino Affairs - Wells Fargo Bank

In addition to the in-person events, LBAN and Wells Fargo will collaborate on a dynamic 4-part webinar series as part of the alumni virtual programming. These webinars will equip Latina and Latino entrepreneurs with opportunities to increase their access to capital, contracts, resources, and networks.

Wells Fargo's continued partnership with LBAN underscores its dedication to fostering the growth and success of Latino and Latina entrepreneurs. By investing in LBAN's initiatives, Wells Fargo solidifies its position as a key player in the ecosystem, providing thought leadership and capital to empower the Latino business community.
