Andrea Vigil

Allegiant Electric LLC, founded in 2015, by Andrea Vigil a certified Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Woman Business Enterprise (WBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), and Nevada local Emerging Small Business (ESB) firm, based in Las Vegas, NV, specializing in electrical services; including solar, battery storage and Electric Vehicles (EV) charging stations.

Prior to founding Allegiant Electric, Andrea was a Chief Operating Officer at American Patriot Solar Community in Las Vegas, NV. She was responsible for overseeing day to day operations in Las Vegas, all marketing, advertising marketing research, analysis, strategy and planning.  Due to the changes with net metering, American Patriot Solar Community closed and she and her husband were laid off work, they decided to obtain a C-2 electrical license and open their own company.  They started working out of their home, with just Anthony and Andrea.  As a result of the net metering changes, most of the existing solar companies shut down and this left thousands of NV customers without a solar company to service their existing solar systems.  This created an opportunity for Anthony and Andrea, and they brought in two more employees and continued to work out of their home for six months.  They had outgrown their home-based business and were ready to move into an office space.  They have now been in their office space located at 2480 N Decatur Ste 115, Las Vegas, NV 89108 for two years and have another year on their lease.  Once again, Allegiant Electric has now outgrown their existing office space and they have reached out to SBA to discuss obtaining a business loan for the purchase of a building.

 

Through her drive, dedication and perseverance, she has been able to establish her business and gain a solid foothold in her industry.  Andrea Vigil has over 15 year’ of experience assisting companies with the strategic management of information and business intelligence.  She is particularly skilled in forensic information analyses and enterprise management.  She has a Bachelors degree with an emphasis in HR and Management Information Systems, as well as a Masters degree with an emphasis in Management Information Systems.  Prior to working at American Patriot Solar Community, Andrea was a Management Information Technology Manager for Lake Las Vegas, a large Las Vegas-based private development developer.  In this capacity, she was responsible for configuring and implement enterprise application and conducting analyses and reports critical to operating the business and streamlining process.  This skillset has become beneficial to Andrea in her own business, because she has been able to implement processes that allow her and her company the ability to run a lean and efficient.  They are also located a door away from their local material distributor, which provides them the ability to minimize inventory and the ability to purchase material just in time to complete the job.

 

Mrs. Vigil completed the Emerging Leaders program through the SBA in 2018.  Over the course of seven months, participants are given the opportunity to work with experienced mentors, attend specialized workshops and develop connections with their peers, city leaders, and the financial community. She continues her involvement in the Alumni networking group. Mrs. Vigil has also recently joined the board of the Lutheran Social Services.

 

Through the Emerging Leaders program, Andrea had the ability to create her 3-year growth plan, network with other business owners and share her experiences as a business owner that other business owners were experiences, as well.  They shared ways they each were able to overcome various obstacles and learn from one another and develop relationships that continue to strengthen their existing businesses to this day.  They also had the opportunity to learn from various executives and financial advisors

 

The company’s founder, Mrs. Vigil has long had a desire to enter the public contracting arena to gain access to government contracting opportunities to grow her company by providing her government customers the same outstanding customer service she is well known for providing to her private sector customers.  Through drive, dedication and perseverance, she has been able to establish her business and gain a solid foothold in her industry
